Terms of Service

Last updated October 19, 2026 · Version

These terms are the agreement between you and (“RenkoBars”, “we”, “us”), which runs the RenkoBars website and service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.

The short version. RenkoBars is an educational tool. It is not investment advice, we are not your adviser or broker, and we never place trades for you. Trading, and options trading in particular, can lose you a lot of money. You make your own decisions and you are responsible for them.

1. Who can use RenkoBars

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) and able to enter into a binding contract. RenkoBars covers US-listed securities and is offered for use in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you are responsible for following the laws that apply to you.

2. Not investment advice

RenkoBars is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading adviser or financial planner, and nothing on the Service creates an advisory, fiduciary or brokerage relationship with you. Everything on the Service, including charts, renko trends, breadth readings, “Actions” labels, valuations, screens, option walls and outlooks, calculators, alerts, articles and AI Coach answers, is general information for educational purposes. None of it is a recommendation that any security, strategy or trade is suitable for you. Before you invest, consider your own circumstances and, where appropriate, talk to a licensed professional.

3. Risk of trading

Investing in securities involves risk, including the loss of everything you invest. Options carry particular risks: they can expire worthless, their prices can move much faster than the underlying security, and some strategies (such as selling uncovered options) can lose more than the amount invested. Leverage magnifies losses. Before trading options, read Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options, the options disclosure document published by The Options Clearing Corporation (theocc.com) and available from your broker. Past performance, whether real, simulated or backtested, does not guarantee future results.

4. Calculators, signals and strategy tests

Our tools compute estimates from models (for example option pricing models, implied volatility, renko bricks sized by average true range, and fundamental valuation formulas) and from data that may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Results depend on the inputs and assumptions used and leave out many real-world factors, such as commissions, taxes, slippage, liquidity, early assignment, dividends, corporate actions and market halts. Strategy tests (the Strategy Lab) are hypothetical: they are run with hindsight on past data and do not reflect actual trading. We improve our models over time, so results can change. Treat every figure as one input among many and check anything that matters to you.

5. Paper trading

The options paper account is a simulation. No order is ever sent to a broker or exchange, and no real money or securities are involved. Simulated fills use quoted prices and simple rules, so they may differ from what you would get in a real market. Paper profits and losses say nothing reliable about real results.

6. The AI Coach and AI analysis

Some features answer your questions with an artificial-intelligence model provided by a third party. AI answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they sound confident, and they are subject to everything in sections 2 to 4. Do not rely on them as advice, and do not enter sensitive personal information (such as account numbers or government ID numbers) in your questions. How we handle your questions is explained in the Privacy Policy. AI answers and Strategy Lab descriptions are paid with AI credits, which are part of the paid plan (see section 9).

7. Market data and third-party content

Prices, option chains, company filings, fundamentals, news and other content come from third parties, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (EDGAR) and licensed market data providers. Data may be delayed, interrupted or inaccurate, and neither we nor our providers guarantee it. Index views may use exchange-traded funds as proxies (for example QQQ for the Nasdaq-100); a proxy does not track its index exactly. Data is provided for your personal use on the Service only: you may not copy, export in bulk, redistribute, resell or publish it. Our providers may require additional terms, which we will show you when they apply.

8. Your account

9. Plans, billing and cancelling

RenkoBars offers a Free plan and paid plans. The features and limits of each plan are described on the Service and may change; if a change takes away a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance.

10. Alerts

Alerts by email or Telegram are a convenience. They may be delayed, arrive out of order or not arrive at all, for example when a data feed, email provider or messaging service is slow or unavailable. Do not rely on them for time-critical decisions. You can turn alerts off in Settings.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

12. Your content

Watchlists, notes, chart drawings, paper trades, settings and questions you add to the Service (“your content”) remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display your content as needed to run the Service for you, and to use it in anonymous, aggregated form to understand and improve the Service. We do not publish your content. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to provide it.

Strategy Lab. Strategies you create in the Strategy Lab, shared or not, are deleted automatically 90 days after you create them, and the full results of each test (report card, trades, the text you typed) are deleted 90 days after the test. We keep a minimal record of each test (its date, credits charged, the version of the testing engine, a fingerprint of the rules, the verdict and the period tested) for billing, security and audit. Strategies we publish as ready-made are not affected. Save a copy of any rules you want to keep. A strategy you share is shown to other members without your name; you can stop sharing it at any time.

13. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, charts, models and the RenkoBars name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial purposes under these terms. You may share screenshots for personal, non-commercial discussion if you keep them unaltered and credit RenkoBars. All other rights are reserved. Other names and marks on the Service belong to their owners and are used only to identify their products.

14. Other services and links

The Service may link to or work with services run by others, such as Telegram, payment processors and news websites. We do not control them, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Changes to the Service and these terms

We may add, change or remove features. We may update these terms; the version and date at the top show the current one. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or on the Service before it takes effect. By continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not, stop using the Service and close your account.

16. Suspension and closing accounts

You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, with notice where reasonable, if it breaks these terms, puts the Service or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. If we close a paid account for reasons other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of the current period. Sections that by their nature should continue after an account closes (including 2 to 4, 12, 13 and 17 to 21) remain in effect.

17. No warranties

The Service and all content and data on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our data providers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, timeliness, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

18. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither we nor our affiliates, officers, employees, agents, licensors or data providers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, trading or investment losses, loss of data or loss of goodwill, arising from or relating to the Service or these terms, however caused, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service or these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and US$100.

Some places do not allow some of these exclusions or limits; where that is so, they apply only as far as the law permits.

19. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us and our affiliates, officers, employees and agents against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by third parties that arise from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your content.

20. Disputes and governing law

If you have a concern, please contact us first at ; most issues can be settled quickly. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, it will be decided by the state or federal courts located in , and both of us agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court. These terms are governed by the laws of and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

21. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term, we do not give up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of the business. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
